Ingredients

    3 cup chicken broth (defatted)
    3 cup water
    2 cup. Chopped fresh or canned tomatoes
    1 potato, peeled and diced
    ½ cup grated carrots
    ½ cup chopped celery
    ½ cup chopped onion
    1 tsp. Mrs. Dash seasoning or Bragg's AminoAcids
    1 bay leaf
    4 peppercorns
    3 cup shredded cabbage
    1/4 cup. Lemon juice
    1 tsp. Sugar
    Chopped fresh parsley for garnish


Directions

In large saucepan, combine broth, and water. Add tomatoes, potato, carrots, celery and onion. Stir in seasoning, bay leaf and peppercorns. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Add cabbage and simmer 10 for more minutes. Stir in lemon juice and sugar. Serve in heated bowls with a sprinkle of parsley.

Makes 8 servings.
