Tired of the same old turkey burgers, wake up your taste buds with this suprising combo.. Tired of the same old turkey burgers, wake up your taste buds with this suprising combo..
Number of Servings: 9

Ingredients

    1 lb of 93% lean ground turkey
    1/2 cup of dried cranberries (craisins work nicely)
    1/2 cup of sunflower seeds
    salt and pepper to tast
    2 egg whites
    1/2 a cup uncooked oats

Directions

mix all ingredients together, shape into 9 palm size patties, and grill or bake as you would normally....perfect with a slice of calorie reduced swiss cheese on top.. feel free to mix up the combinations another good one is walnuts and dried cherries or for a bigger variety just add a cup of trail mix instead...

    I really liked these. I didn't have sunflower seeds on hand, so I used chopped almonds, and I used egg beaters (equiv. 1 egg) also. It was a little hard to get the patties formed, but a few minutes in the freezer did the trick. Now I have extras frozen for a quick dinner! Thanks! - 1/29/08
