Introduction

This isn't going to be the dish that helps you lose that last 5 pounds, but it's a good old comfort food from the days of my childhood... Plus, it's easy! :) This isn't going to be the dish that helps you lose that last 5 pounds, but it's a good old comfort food from the days of my childhood... Plus, it's easy! :)

Ingredients

1 bag of frozen tater tots (I used Ore Ida)
1 can of Campbells Cream of Mushroom soup
    1 can sweet peas
    2 pounds ground beef
    salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Brown your hamburger with salt and pepper for flavor and drain. Add 1 can of cream of mushroom soup and peas (I sometimes add a can of corn) and combine. Put mixture into bottom of a 9x13 pan and spread to cover pan. At this point, if you want the caloric addition, you can add some shredded cheese. Please note that I have NOT added that here and it is not in the nutritional value. Take your bag of tater tots and spread over the top of your hamburger mixture. Place into the oven and cook for around 30-45 minutes. I have split this recipie into 8 servings, but I have no idea of what that translates into when you talk cups of food.

Like I said - not the best for the waistline, but it's not fast food fat/calorie content, either! *smile* Enjoy!!

Just getting ready to cook this, but it doesn't have an oven temp in the instructions. Do you cook at the temp required on the bag of tater tots? - 6/12/10
