Introduction

A favourite winter warmer. A favourite winter warmer.
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    Celery, 3 large stalks including tops
    Onion, one large, chopped
    Turnip, roughly chopped 500g
    Swede, roughly chopped 350g
    Carrot, roughly chopped 250g
    Barley, cooked 3 cups
    Stock, Chicken, 2 litres
    (ingredients may be varied in quantity as availability and taste dictate)


Directions

Put all the ingredients into a large pot and bring to the boil over a medium heat. When it has come to the boil, lower heat to simmer and cook for 30 minutes, stirring frequently to avold burning of barley
