Introduction

I love Mexican Horchata but avoid it due to sugar and calorie content. I put this recipe together as a good substitute for the milky cinnamon drink.

I use Almond Breeze for the low calorie content and the creamy texture but Rice Milk would be closer to the original.

Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    1 Cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Breeze (40 cals per cup)
    2 tsp granulated Splenda or to taste
    1/8 tsp vanilla extract
    1/8 tsp ground Cinnamon
    dash of Nutmeg
    1 - 2 Ice cubes

Directions

Blend all ingredients in a blender. Or you can mix well and serve over ice.

Can be topped with Fat Free Cool Whip and extra spice if desired but add the additional calories .

Makes 1 serving.
