Ingredients
-
Loaf of pre-sliced french bread (1 gram of fat per slice)
1 pkg. No-Fat Cream Cheese
2 small cans ofTomato Paste
Diced Tomates ( I used Del Monte) {Sweeten with sweetner if desired}
Basil, Italian Seasoning, or Pizza Spice
No Fat Cheddar Cheese
Directions
Lightly toast both sides of bread. Cool. Spread no-fat cream cheese
on one side of each slice of bread. Spread tomato paste on one side of
each slice of bread. Drain diced tomates in collander and spoon diced
tomatoes on top of tomato paste & bread. Sweeten with sweetener if
desired. Sprinkle with spices.......I just used basil and italian
seasoning. Bake 10 minutes @ 350. Top with no-fat cheese (cardboard)
and broil until cheese melts. Could also use no-fat parmeasan.
** Can top with any fresh or frozen vegtables. Also, check fat
content but for your meat eaters you can use canadian bacon or ham.
Let your imagination run wild, combinations are limitless!!!!
*** Can be made on pita bread or wheat english muffins..........check
each for fat content before purchase. I found french bread less in fat
grams.
