Introduction
This is one of the best pizza dough recipes I've ever used. It is so easy to make if you use your bread machine, you won't go back to the regular method! Once it's done, I remove it and roll it on to my pans and then pre-bake the doughs for 10 minutes on 300F. I then either freeze them individually or use them right away. Pre-baking reduces your cooking time and makes for a crispier crust. This makes 2 - 16 in. pizza doughs (thin) or 2 thicker 12 ". If you're using your bread machine - it must have a 2 lb capacity. Ingredients
-
9-11 ozs warm water
3/4 T of salt
3 T Olive Oil
4 cups Multigrain Flour
2 t active dry yeast
Directions
Add the ingredients to your bread machine in the order given. When adding the flour, you can also add some dried herbs such as basil rosemary if you like.
When all ingredients are added, choose your pizza dough setting. Mine takes approximately 50 minutes. When done, I cut the ball of dough in half to make two doughs. After rolling out the dough, I place these on my large 16 inch pizza pans and prick with a fork (all over) to prevent bubbles from occuring during cooking. Pre-bake each pizza dough for 10 minutes on 300F. Remove and either freeze or dress with your favorite toppings.
