Introduction

Autumn and winter fruit salad; fresh, spicy, delicious! Autumn and winter fruit salad; fresh, spicy, delicious!
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    2 Tbsp. whole grain mustard
    2 Tbsp. fresh chopped dill (or 2 tsp. dried dill)
    4 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
    1 tsp. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. olive oil

    2 seasonal crunchy tart apples (Gala, Pink Lady, Braeburn)
    1 seasonal pear (Anjou, Barlett, etc.)
    1 English (seedless) cucumber
    1 small or 1/2 medium sweet onion

Directions

Mix together mustard, dill, vinegar, sugar and olive oil. Set aside.

Core and slice apples and pears into thin slices, leaving skin on for color and flavor. Slice cucumber into rounds. Slice onion any way you like. Add all to bow with dressing and toss to coat.

    Very good. We didn't have any dill or onions so we used basil in place of dill and omitted the onions. - 1/31/10
