Ingredients

    1.5 lbs chuck steak
    8 c. diced potatoes
6 large carrots, cut into slices
    2 medium onions, sweet
1 bag Birds Eye baby gold & white corn
    4 tsp. beef boullion
    1 tsp. chicken boullion
    5 c. water
    2 basil leaves
    onion powder
    garlic powder or pieces
    thyme
    pepper

Directions

Cut up steak into small, 1" cubes and place into large pot (stock pot or dutch oven) with a little bit of water. Cook on medium low heat. Add seasoning to taste. I like a little thyme, garlic and onion powder, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Cut up onions into medium sized pieces and add to beef. Peel carrots and cut into thick slices, about 1/2" thick; then add to beef. Wash and cut potatoes into cubes about 1" square and add to pot. Mix boullion with hot water, then pour into pot and mix all ingredients. Add 2 basil leaves, if desired. Simmer for 20 minutes. Stir in corn and simmer another 10 minutes. Makes about 15 1-cup servings. Serve with hot biscuits.
