    1 lb. of Carnation Red beans
    water(enough to cover all ingredients)
    1lb of Savoie's smoke sausage
    1 tbsp of minced garlic
    1 large onion chopped
    A half of a bell pepper chopped
    3 large stalks of celery chopped
    1 tsp Thyme
    salt & pepper to taste
    a dash of hot sauce
    1.5 cups of rice


Chop all of your seasonings. Put all ingredients into a slow cooker except for sausage and rice. Stir. Let cook for about 3 hours. Add sausage and stir. Also to thicken gravy mash a cup of the beans and add back to pot. Let cook for 3 more hours. Cook rice as you desire. Salt and pepper to taste. Put beans over a half cup of cooked rice and enjoy. Makes about 10 servings.
