My favorite banana bread recipe! My favorite banana bread recipe!
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    1/3 cup shortening
    2/3 cup granulated sugar
    2 eggs
    1 cup mashed bananas
    2 TBSP milk
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1 3/4 cups flour

Directions

Using elecric mixer, mix eggs, sugar and shortening. Add milk and bananas. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Grease a 9 X 13 inch loaf pan and add the batter. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 60-65 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
makes 1 loaf, equal to 10 slices.
