Ingredients

    500g Penne Pasta ( or any pasta you want)
    1 tbsp Olive Oil
    1 Red onion, thinly sliced
    1 clove crushed garlic
    2 Cups of Tomato Pasta Sauce ( any brand will do)
    425g (can) Tuna in water
    1/2 cup (5 tbsp) shredded basil leaves
    2 Mushrooms Sliced

    *Parmesan cheese to taste (not calculated in recipe)

Directions

Cook pasta according to directions.
Meanwhile heat oil in heavy based pan. Add the onion and garlic and cook stirring for about 2 minutes or until softened.
Add the pasta sauce and 1 cup water. Bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes or until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.
Add tuna and mushrooms and stor to coat in the sauce.
Drain Pasta and return to pan with sauce. Add basil and toss thoroughly.
Season with salt and pepper, and parmesan cheese if desired.

Will serve about 6 people.

You could also add olives instead of mushrooms ( I don't like olives)

    Incredible!
    I make a version of this with crushed tomatoes, salt, pepper, diced garlic, and tuna in oil. Bumble Bee now has flavored tuna in oil. I have tried Chipolte and sundried tomato. Both were good, flavors mild. - 4/29/13
