Introduction

Just an experiment - modified from the recipe on the back of the Trader Joe's chocolate chip package. More flour would have helped. Not sure if the Brummel & Brown's was to blame or the extra vanilla, but the batter was too thin at first. Adding an extra 1/2 cup of flour helped, 3/4 would have helped more. Ingredients

    *Trader Joe's Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips, 22 tbsp (remove)
    *Bob's Red Mill Whole Wheat Pastry Flour, 1 cup (remove)
    *All Purpose Unbleached Flour, 1.75 cup (remove)
    Full Circle Organic Light Brown Sugar, 48 tsp (remove)
    Private Selection Organic Sugar, 24 tsp (remove)
    Salt, 1 tsp (remove)
    Butter, unsalted, .5 cup (remove)
    Brummel & Brown, Original Spread made with Yogurt, 1 Tbsp, 8 serving (remove)
    Vanilla Extract, 1 tsp (remove)
    Egg, fresh, 2 large (remove)
    Walnuts, 1.5 cup, chopped (remove)
    *chocolate chips 12 large, 3 serving (remove)

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine flours, salt and baking soda. Set aside. Combine brown sugar, sugar, butter, margarine and vanilla, and beat until creamy. Add eggs and beat. Add flour mixture and mix well. Stir in chips and walnuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls (small ones) onto cookie sheets sprayed with Pam for Baking. Bake 9 minutes.

Yields about 60 small, chunky cookies.
