Ingredients

    1 drumstick or breast of chicken
    1 serving of pretzels
    1 TBSP of country crock spread with calcium and vitamins
    1 Egg White or Egg susbsitute (optional)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place pretzels in blender or food processor. Chop or blend until pretzels make a very corse powder. Place drumstick or chicken breast into Egg (may use egg substitute or replace egg with plain water) and then into pretzels to coat evenly. Place onto a cookie sheet coated with Country Crock Spread. Place into oven and bake until juices run clear. (about 15 mins for one 30 mins for multiple)

    My husband has been craving fried chicken and as much as I love it -- I'm trying to avoid fried foods. I found this recipe and he fixed it for me last night and it is very yummy. To me it really tasted like fried chicken. This will be my new fried chicken recipe. Thanks for sharing it. - 2/9/10
