Ingredients

    24 Trader Joe's Meatless Meatballs (1 serving=6 meatballs)
    8 oz Barilla Plus Rotini
    2 tbsp butter
    2 tbsp flour
    1/2 cup nonfat milk
1/2 cup vegetable broth (use beef broth if you're not vegetarian, tastes more authentic)
    pinch nutmeg
salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Directions

Put pot of salted water on to boil for pasta. In separate saucepan, melt butter. Add flour and whisk until blended into a paste, cook over medium heat for a couple of minutes. Add milk and beef broth and whisk until blended. Add pinch of nutmeg and a few grinds of pepper. Whisk until bubbly and thickened. Reduce heat to medium low, stir in frozen meatballs, and cover pan. By this time, the pasta pot should be ready for the pasta so throw it in and stir a couple of times. Simmer meatballs 10 minutes, stirring a couple of times and making sure meatballs are not sticking to the bottom of the pan. Taste sauce and add pinches of salt if you find it necessary. After pasta is done, drain and add to sauce and meatballs, stir until pasta is coated. Serve immediately.
