Ingredients

    1 lb. lean beef stew
    1 cup sliced yellow onion
    3 cups whole baby carrots
    3 unpeeled, chopped medium red potatoes
    2 cups chopped cauliflower
    1/3 cup Merlot sauce
    1 basil leaf
    1/3 cup water

Directions

Spray slow cooker for easy clean up.

Place potatoes, then beef, onions, carrots and cauliflower layered in the slow cooker. Combine Merlot sauce and water with bay leaf and pour over meat and vegetables. Turn slow cooker on low.

Stir only once during the cooking process. Should be ready in about 4 hours. Pierce potatoes and carrots to test readiness. Remove bay leaf. Unplug 30 minutes before serving to let juices settle.
