Introduction

This is a great substitute for ice cream, my weakness! This is a great substitute for ice cream, my weakness!
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 cup plain yogurt
1 cup frozen strawberries (or mixed berries)
    1 banana
    1 tbsp vanilla extract

Directions

Blend all ingredients in a food processor and freeze until ready to eat.
I like to divide it up into 1/2 cup serving dishes before freezing, that way when I am craving a creamy, frozen treat it is pre-portioned!

Wow! Awesome treat on a hot day. I followed KLYNSKY and stirred it a few times as it froze. I used vanilla instead of plain yogurt and it was still great. - 7/11/08

I used vanilla soy yogurt because that's what I had on hand and added a little sweetener... it tasted like strawberry banana soft serve! Supper Yummy! Can't wait to try it with other fruits! - 7/26/09

Very tasty, but too firm when frozen solid. I'm going to try freezing for only 1-1.5 hrs. I used Greek yogurt and the texture was incredibly creamy! - 8/4/09

This dessert "feels" like soft-serve, and you can sweeten it to taste with splenda. Great low-fat substitute for ice cream. I've made it several times and love it! - 8/23/08

Very good! I stirred every half hour or so while it froze, then froze overnight. By the next day it was hard, but putting it in the fridge while we ate lunch meant that it was the perfect consistency by the time we finished. - 5/19/10
