Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    32 oz freshly ground turkey
    28 oz tomato sauce (no salt added)
    1 large onion
    2 tbsp paprika
    3 cloves garlic
    3 tsp thyme, fresh
    6 fl oz. red wine
    1 cup reduced fat sour cream
    1 cup raw brown rice
    12 cups savoy cabbage, fresh, shredded

Directions

Cook rice in 1 1/2 cups of water until tender - add more water if required.
While rice cooks, brown ground turkey in a large non stick pot.
Add finely chopped onion and garlic. Add thyme and paprika.
Stir in tomato sauce and wine. Simmer for 15 minutes.
Steam cabbage until tender, add to turkey mixture, stiring well.
Stir in cooked rice.
Add sour cream, stir well, then pour mixture into large pan, cover with foil and bake in 400 degree oven for 20 minutes.
Great the next day too!

    This was a great way to make this meal without the fuss of parboiling and stuffing the cabbage. Delicious! Bonus that this is an inexpensive meal to feed a crowd. - 1/12/13
