Ingredients

    1 large pear
    10g sugar
    sprinkling of nutmeg and cinnamon

Directions

Peel and half the pears.

Mix sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon in small amount of water. Poach pears til soft. Take pears out and reduce liquid.

    WONDERFUL! Friend helped, not enough directions for a newbie. 10g=Tb sugar, serving is 1/2 pear, pinch nutmeg, 1/8 tsp cinnamon, 1/8 tsp Mace, 1/4 tsp vanilla. Bring water and spices to boil, add pears, poach 12-14 minutes depending on ripeness. Did not peel or 1/2 the pear. - 1/10/11

    This is an easy recipe that not only tastes great but makes your whole house smell terrific! I wish there were more directions/measurements for how much water to use etc... I found myself looking online for more direction. Overall tasty! - 7/12/11
