Ingredients

    sirloin tip steak thin sliced into strips
    1/2 onion chopped
    .5 oz of red peers
    1 TBsp EV00
    two tablespoons sour cream
    1 tsp dill weeed
    1/4 cup lettuce shredded
    1/4 cup mexican cheese

Directions

In a fry pan saute onions and peppers in EVOO. romove onions and pepers from skillet then add sirloin steak to pan and cook with your choice of seasoning. cut pita in half. add your meat, onions and pepers , lettuce and cheese. take the sour cream and mix in dill weed and a dash of pepper. use on the gyro for your sauce.

    in order for this to be a gyro it would be better to use feta cheese and a cucumber sauce. - 3/3/10

    Very Good
    I used a small steak I had in the freezer, a whole, very small onion, and half a green pepper. I just used S&P to season, but will buy Greek seasoning for this. I also had some real Tzatziki sauce to put atop the lettuce and I had enough for 2 meals. I didn't add any cheese, and it was great. - 4/2/10

    wonderfull but to much salt - 2/28/10
