Ingredients

    3 cups flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    3/4 teaspoon salt
    1/3 cups butter, softened
    1 cup unsweetened apple sauce
    1 1/4 cups splenda
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
    2 eggs
    4 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
    1 package (12 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Mix flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.

2. Beat butter, sugars, eggs and extract in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until creamy. Gradually mix in flour mixture. Do not over process since we have substituted apple sauce for butter. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons about 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets.

3. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until bottoms are browned. Cool on baking sheets 1 minute. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.

Will make at least 36 (130 Calorie) if not 48 (97 Calorie) cookies.
