Crock Pot BBQ Pork Stew
A family meal in a pot, at 420 calories per serving, with a tangy sweet sauce based on Kansas City style BBQ sauce. Lower the calories by choosing a lower calorie pasta sauce or low sugar catsup) The stevia replaces sugars (1/4 cu molasses and 1/4 c.brown sugar and 1/4 c. honey!) in the original sauce recipe I based mine on. Any sugar including honey could replace the maple syrup. Liquid smoke and worcestershire are other possible flavor additions for more BBQ tang, as is lemon juice or more vinegar. You have to mess around with it to get it to suit. Or you could, of course, just dump your own favorite commercial brand of BBQ sauce in, but where's the fun in that?
