Introduction
This is one of my favorite "tried and true" recipies from my Mom. Great comfort food and the whole house smells great while it's baking! Served with a side of steamed carrots for a great, healthy meal. This is one of my favorite "tried and true" recipies from my Mom. My husband would give this 4 stars but for me it was more like 3.5. Not bad, I added more onion, garlic & steak seasoning. The cooking time was spot on for a steak with just barely beyond a pink center stage. I'll try it again and maybe give it a better sear, I think that's where I went wrong. - 11/5/13

I just took this out of the oven, it smells so good. The little bite I had to check it was wonderful, it falls apart with the fork, can't wait for dinner! I did add some garlic and red wine to the pan (used my stone casserole) before placing it in the oven, other than that went by the recipe. - 1/29/12
