I noticed that the calorie count was off on this. It shows 4 oz. of chicken breast is 20 calories, when it should be 125. I think this comes from an error in the calculator. It shows 125 calories for 4 oz. and 20 calories for 0.25 pound, which is the same amount. - 1/9/12

Very nice recipe. Easy to make and the taste was very good. My wife loves brown sauce sweet and sour chicken, so i will be making this more often. I too added 3/4 cup of water, but it was a little thin, so next time i will cut to 1/2 cup. Thanks for sharing. - 1/11/09

If there were 10 stars, this would get 10! Absolutely delicious. I will make it again. I heard that genuine sweet and sour is equal parts catsup, sugar and vinegar, so added 3 Tablespoons of catsup. (adds a bit more carbs, but turned out better than eating out! Thank you HappyWalker!!! - 9/8/10

AWESOME! This was the best meal I have made since I started cooking at home again. Aaaaand it was the first time my husband actually ate some of my food since I have been cooking low calorie foods. All I changed was I added 1/2 c water durring the simmer. And thats saying alot for me. - 1/16/09

Missing ingredient: no vinegar in the ingredients list, but it calls for vinegar in the directions, so I just added a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. Also, this recipe needs about 3/4 cup of water to add, or the mixture thickens way too much during the final cooking. Tasty overall. - 6/22/07

This was good- and easy. I used fresh garlic. The sauce didn't get to the consistency I wanted- it stayed kind of thin. This could get better with some tweaking, but good enough for a weeknight dinner as is! - 2/27/12

Great recipe. My mother asked me if the chicken came with the veggies and sauce or if I had to add it. She thought it was a store-bought mixture and was surprised when I told her it was made from scratch. I didn't change a thing and it was delicious! - 3/26/11

This was dinner tonight, and it was very good. The only changes I made were adding water chestnuts and sugar snap peas to the recipe. The sauce was different than what I expected, which was from take-out and usually is sweeter and orange in color. It's still a keeper. I put some in the freezer too. - 12/28/09
