Introduction

This is just like Mom used to make! This is just like Mom used to make!
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    4 large potatoes
    I Can't Believe it's Not Butter - Fat Free (6 tbsp)
    Garlic Power (2 tbsp)
    Chicken Broth (99% fat free)
    2% Milk (.5 cup)

Directions

Put potatoes into large cooking pot. Fill with cold water just enough to cover potatoes, add a dash of salt if desired. Turn on heat and cook potatoes until tender and able to be pierced with a fork. Drain - DO NOT RINSE. Peel potatoes and return to pan. Add milk, butter, broth and garlic powder. Mash until large lumps disappear. If you like fluffier potatoes, use an electric mixer and mix potatoes. If you like a thicker texture, continue to mash with hand "masher". When you get to desired consistancy, serve and garnish with 1 tbsp chives. Bon Appetit!

This was good. The garlic was a strong flavour, but not too strong as I made it with 2 tsps instead of tbsp. My husband loved it. - 7/16/09

    O.K.
Way too much garlic. Even reduced it by 25% of what it called for. Ended up throwing it out. :-( I think I'll try them plain instead. - 2/19/08

Little too much garlic, but otherwise very good. Will make again just adjust garlic powder. - 3/29/07
