It had a very strong wine flavor which my husband didnt care for. I am going to try it again but use beef broth instead of wine. We also may add a little bit more sour cream. But overall it was very good. - 5/12/08

It was easy and yummy. I didn't add enough meat so it was a little strong in flavor but I just added more noodles to solve the problem. It was that "something different" that I was looking for! - 9/22/09

This recipe was o.k. Tasted really salty and contained too much liquid for my tastes. The kids ate it and didn't complain - which is something, but still was not an impressive recipe. I probably will not make this again. - 6/15/09

I've made this several times and it's well liked by my husband and me. I do the no yoke broad noodles, and have a salad with it. I also add corn starch to thicken it up a little, while it is still in the crockpot. Also after cooking the noodles you add to the crockpot for about 20 min the noodles - 1/8/17

This was delicious. I did tweak it a bit after reading some other reviews. I did a mixture of red wine/beef broth (probably half and half). This is going to be one of my quick go-to recipes because it requires no prep before going into the crock pot. - 9/7/16

My boyfriend and i made this recipe on sunday-we used the last of his venison stew meat, red wine, lots more mushrooms, and no sour cream. It was a bit watery, only because of the extra mushies I think. My boyfriend said it was not stroganoff, it was nomanoff. So incredible! - 7/25/11

I put the entire roast in with a lot more wine and added water and chopped the mushrooms. When it was finished, I took 16oz of non-fat sour cream and mixed in some of the liquid from the crockpot and added the meat cut up and noodles. We had to thicken it with a little flour. Needs some spice. - 2/7/11

I made this and it was awful. Maybe I didn't do something right but nobody ate it. It is still sitting in my fridge because I can't bring myself to eat it. - 4/2/10

was rather runny with the wine, and the beef cooked much faster than the time given. I would work with the recipe more to get it the way I want but its a great start. Thanks! Hubby of course loved it - 3/19/10

I make a similar recipe using 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup instead of wine. I also saute the mushrooms ahead of time or used canned mushrooms (drained) to cut down on the extra liquid. We also prefer to eat it over rice instead of noodles. - 12/31/09
