Ingredients

    8 slices of bread cut corner to corner
    3 eggs
    3 tbsp milk
    1 tbsp cinnamon
    1 tsp nutmeg
    1 tsp vanilla

Directions

Combine everything, except the bread and oil into a shallow pan. beat until combined. Pre-heat a skillet with oil. Coat bread with egg mixture and cook in pan until golden brown. Serves 8

    This was good with the exception of too much cinnamon for my hubby's tastes. I think next time I make it I'll just use less cinnamon and he'll like it too. :)

    This was a good recipe. I altered a bit by using Light honey wheat bread and egg substitute rather than whole eggs. I do think using a heartier bread works better and makes the toast less soggy. So, I would use regular bread instead of the light. - 1/27/09

    We really enjoyed this! There were a couple of times that I hit a clump of nutmeg, so I'll be sure to mix a little better next time. Overall, this was a winner in my house. - 10/11/08
