Introduction

This is my Mom's recipe but I have added dried cranberries and subtracted the mini marshmallows. (Mini-marshmallows are great in this dessert if you want to try to get your kids to eat it!) Ingredients

    1 1/2 cup Oceanspray Craisins (any flavor)
    1/2 Cup Raisins
    1/2 cup Chopped Red Apple
    1/2 cup Chopped Green Apple
    1 Cup Chopped Celery
    1 Cup Seedless Red Grapes
    1/2 Cup Chopped Walnuts
    3 TBS. Fat Free Miracle Whip

    SUBSTITUTIONS:
    ~Substitute the Miracle Whip for 8 oz. of low fat Plain Vanilla Yogurt
    ~Substitute Walnuts for Pecans

    ADDITIONS:
    ~Mini-Marshmallows are delicious in this recipe if you don't mind a few added calories or want to make a kid-friendly version.

Directions

Toss all ingredients into a large bowl making sure to stir in the Miracle Whip or yogurt well.

Cover and chill for 2 hours before serving.

    I omitted the grapes, as they are very high in natural sugar, just doubled the apples. Added a little Splenda to make up for the missing sweetness. Also used light mayo instead of the Miracle Whip, just because it was what I had on hand at the time. Tasted great! Thanks for sharing! - 1/19/11
