Love this. I usually use 3/4-1 cup of rice. Have used whole grain brown rice when I didnt have long grain rice. I also use 2 cans of Rotel tomatoes. I used spaghettini sauce once and Spicy V8 another time when I didnt have tomato soup. 1 1/2 TBS black pepper and garlic powder and 1 TBS Paprika. - 2/7/21

I used more hamburger and rice, I used a can of diced tomatoes flavored with garlic, oregano, and basil. I also used smoked paprika and added some beef bouillon to harmonize with the tomatoes and the tomato soup!!! Also added garlic, oregano, and basil. Turned out awesome the whole family loved it! - 9/9/18

this was a hit when wrapped in a flour tortilla and topped with a little colby jack cheese for me and the kids... my fiance wasnt impressed but he is hard to please as it is... on the other hand it did seem a bit bland to me and ended up needing quite a bit of tweaking for any real flavor... - 3/16/14

One problem -- I can't stop eating this!! Made it for dinner last night, then had a cup for breakfast and just had 2 cups for lunch! Hubby loved it but kids wouldn't touch it. My subs were 20 oz ground turkey and 1 c minute brown rice. Made 12 cups. 1c = 142 cals & 12g protein. Thank you, thank you! - 6/1/12

DELICIOUS! I turned this into a vegetarian recipe by using Yves veggie crumbles. The directions said to use garlic and spices to taste. I did & it was quite flavourful. My only problem was that the rice didn't cook enough. Next time I'll cook it first or use converted rice. But we really enjoyed it! - 10/15/08

Thanks! We love cabbage too. Stuffed cabbage is a great way to use all of the good things from the garden this summer but it takes soooooo long to make stuffed cabbage. My husband is Slavic so we eat lots of sarma (stuffed cabbage). This makes it so much easier. I'm so happy you liked it!
