Ingredients

    Beef stock, home-prepared, 2 cup
    Beef, tip round, 2 lb
    Onions, raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" dia)
    Mushrooms, fresh, 2 cup, pieces or slices
    Fresh Chives, 2 tbsp chopped (can be replaced with 1 tbsp dried)
    Cilantro, dried, 1 tbsp
    Garlic, 3 cloves
    Lea & Perrins, Worcestershire Sauce, 12 tsp
    Brandy, 3 oz

Directions

Chop onion, mushrooms, and garlic. Prep can be done the day before. Place all items in the slow cooker and cook on low for 10-12 hours

Serve over rice or noodles.

    A truly a elegant dish. Using a better cut of beef and then serve it at a dinner party. It is that elegant! Next time, rice since pasta was slippery underneath the sauce. Added organic cornstarch to thicken the sauce a bit.

    I made this with a hunk of chuck steak because that was what was on sale this week. It was incredible! The meat just melted away in my mouth! I agree it needed a bit of salt, but we have gotten away from putting it in while cooking, just adding what we need to our plates. I WILL make this again! - 6/15/10

    12 teaspoons. i tend to be heavy handed with it, because i really like the taste of it with beef. you can always edit down a bit if you don't like it as much though. hope that helps.
