This is yummy......I didn't have any Cayenne pepper on hand so I used a Tbsp or so of chili powder. As for the comment about slimy meat......perhaps you used a really fatty cut of pork? I bought a pork shoulder and trimmed almost all the visible fat.....not slimy at all! I will make this again! - 9/21/10

WOW!!! This dish is amazing!! Even my 7 yr old loves it! Try pan frying it adding juices, NOT oil, for a crispier meat! Really good on salad with plain and very little taco sauce! Thanks for sharing this recipe! Def a keeper! - 2/4/11

Delicious! I used the amount of cayenne in the recipe and it made it a little spicy. I LOVE spicy food, but if others don't I would reccommend a little less cayenne. I wrapped it in tortillas for dinner with some black beans. First time cooking pork for me and it was a success! - 10/11/09

This was so good! I've given the recipe to my friends. I love using it to make pork tacos with avocado and salsa. And with the leftovers, I add some BBQ sauce to make BBQ pulled pork. Yum! - 2/22/09

Awesome! I misread it (TBSP instead of TSP) and was substituting extra taco seasoning for the cayenne so I ended up using almost an entire package of taco seasoning! It was great! I served it on onion hamburger buns with out adding any additional sauce. YUMMY!! - 9/29/13

The best pulled pork ever!!! We could not believe how good this actually was. After the pork was cooked I served it on a butter lettuce leaf and made a little peach mango slaw to go on top I just mixed peach mango salsa with a little fruit cup of mangos and tossed it with coleslaw mix with feta. Yum - 7/30/13

This tasted great alone or tossed with BBQ sauce. I used a good cut of pork loin, but it was a little drier than I'd hoped. I might try 6 hours in the slow cooker for next time. - 3/6/13

I 1/2 the red pepper. Some people do not like it too spicy. I even use a little less of the chile. If I make it for just myself. I prepare exactly like the recipe. - 9/16/10

This was pretty good. I just didn't like the texture of slimey meat with chewy tortilla shells. My hubby liked it though. I would recommend lean beef instead of pork hands down. - 12/15/08

I'm not sure how you ended up with slimey meat, and tortilla shells technically aren't part of the recipe....

This was really good and so easy! It got a little messy when I tried to shred, but that was really the only drawback. We served this on low carb flower tortillas with melted monterrey jack cheese, sour cream, guac, salsa and black beans. Even picky kids loved it. Needed a little salt. - 12/6/08

Tasty. Haven't turned the pork into anything yet, but it cooked up great in the slowcooker and didn't end up too spicy - now I have to decide between wraps or buns! - 10/5/08

I made this for an Obama speech party for a whole group. I did not put in the cayenne pepper since there were a # of children. The recipe was flavorful without it. I served it on soft tacos with beans and rice. Delicious and very easy - 8/31/08

This was absolutely delicious!! My entire family loved it. I left out the cayene and the additional chilies. DH and I added chopped jalapenos to our serving and I put lettuce and cheese on my sons. They ate it up and my son actually asked if I could make it again!!! - 8/4/08
