Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    4 boneless pork chops
    2 cups apple cider
    non-stick cooking spray

Directions

Remove your boneless, lean pork chops from the package and rinse them in cold running water.

Spray a frying pan with a layer of non-stick spray.

Cook the pork chops over medium-high heat until they are just browned on the outside on both sides - don't worry about cooking them all the way through.

Pour the apple cider directly into the pan and over the pork chops. Cook them until the cider completely cooks away - it'll form a nice caramelized sauce over the pork chops. They'll be cooked through, tender, and have a great fall flavor!

I loved this!! Once the chops were done, I removed them and threw in some diced onions and apples to the left over cider in the pan and sauted until soft. I spooned it over the chops as a garnish! - 11/7/12

very good recipe chops to die for yum!!! I calculated the calories for 1 3 oz pork chop and it works out to 205 calories a chop including the cider sauce but it is still well worth the splurge yummy - 11/24/11

I made this for dinner tonight, I wanted something different and boy did this fill that gap. The only thing I did was I soaked my pork chops in a brown sugar brine while I was at work during the day. - 1/28/16

I was very pleased with this recipe. It was fantastic. I wouldn't eat this on a regular basis. The cooking time was great and I also cut up some onions and greens peppers and sautéed some spinach and the onions and peppers together and added to the pork chops. This meal was great. - 6/18/14

Very good. Quick and easy. Didn't have apple cider so I used apple juice probably not quite as flavor full but yummy. Took the idea of a spinach salad with apples and sweet potato with cinnamon and brown sugar. Very satisfying meal even the little kids loved it.

we had this tonight - of course I can't help but morph recipes :) - I did it with unsweetened apple juice, (1c) plus 1/3 c cranberry juice, about 1/4 c cranberries and 1 apple cored peeled and sliced, served with roasted delmonica squash - with the "sauce" drizzled over top so good! - 12/10/11

I noticed some commenting on the calories and I looked at the caloric breakdown for each ingredient and saw where the calories for the pork chops is based on 1oz chops. But I will be trying this as it sounds delicious. - 11/8/10

My husband and I really enjoy this recipe. It is a stable in our home. WE did reduce the apple cider to 1 cup instead of 2. Very very tasty and cheap!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!!! - 9/22/10

    Good
Good, but it took kind of a long time for the apple cider to reduce...Also, I think the calories are wrong. I just counted 2 servings on my nutrition tracker instead of one, but fear that even that may be a little low.. - 11/9/09

Yummy! However, I, too, question the calorie information. 1/2 cup apple cider and 4 -5 oz pork per serving doesn't come out to 81. Should it be 181.4 instead? - 11/18/08

I loved the taste of your recipe, however, upon calculating the calories using 1.4 lbs of pork loin chops I came up withapprox~ 310 calories per serving. How do you make this recipe and only have 81.4 calories per serving? - 11/14/08
