130 calories and 11g of fat pr serving comes from the cheese alone. I would substitute low fat or reduce the amount. Also, Why dredge in butter? If you use half a TBS pr breast that ads 50cal/5g to the recipe. And they get covered by the sauce anyway... NOT a healthy dish in my eyes.. - 11/30/08

We loved this I did change it though. I used 98%fat free cream of mushroom soup,1/2 c fat free cheese,1c nonfat milk,1 c dry uncle bens rice,no butter or flour. nutrition value is cal-377.5, fat- 2.9, carb-49.8,protein-35. This was much better for us. - 12/3/08

My guests liked this. To prepare, I added garlic powder and basil to the sauce. Before topping with cheese, I sprinkled with paprika which gave the baked cheese topping an appetizing color. The chicken was tender and moist - 11/30/08

Very easy to make. I substituted chicken thighs, (boneless, skinless), and put extra virgin olive oil instead the melted butter. Since I didn't have any cheddar on hand, I substituted part skim shredded mozzarella. It turned out delicious! We all loved it. - 11/23/08

We really loved this recipe. I thought there was a lot more cheese then needed, but it was so good! - 11/21/08

Feel free to make it with less cheese -- don't mix it with the sauce and just use 1/2 c for the topping. It will likely still taste great and cut the fat a bit.

An oldie but a good one, I make this one all the time, never added cheese, I would brown the chicken in a bit of E.V.O.O. just to seal in the juices and then pour the mixture over the chicken and let it cook and serve it on a bed of white or brown rice or pasta....really good!!! - 11/20/08

Quick, easy and tasty. If you decide like me to leave off the butter and flour cut back milk to 1/2 c as well so it's thicker. - 11/19/08

DH stands for Dear Husband! Some of these abbreviations are confusing. LOL (laugh out loud). If you get a chance, would you contact me. I see that you lost 50 lbs using this program. I need to lose 50 lbs but I'm not sure how to begin. Thanks!

This may not be the place to post it but this has been bothering me. I cannot figure it out...what does DH stand for? I think it is something like husband or significant other or something but what does it stand for specifically? It can't be domestic husband can it? lol - 11/17/08

Sounds good but will have to look into some options to slim it down a bit more to fit well in my diet plan. - 11/17/08

Some ideas: Try dredging the chicken in skim milk instead of butter before dipping in flour. Use reduced fat cream of mushroom soup, low-fat cheese, and reduce the amount of cheese you use. Good luck!

I love this recipe! I had to use Cream of Chicken soup and I placed sliced swiss cheese over the chicken breasts (instead of mixing in shredded) before adding the sauce. After everything was together I smashed some fat free croutons and sprinkled those on top and then baked. It was so yummy!! - 11/12/08
