Again... people are rating this without making it. Only put stars if you MADE it. If boxed cakes aren't for you, that's fine, but you have the choice not to make it... don't rate it like you did. - 12/30/12

Made these today - excellent. I couldn't find fat free lemon pudding mix so I switched to a lemon cake mix and fat free vanilla pudding mix! They were excellent and the recipe is a keeper for sure! - 6/27/09

I dislike negative "preachy" comments - what is your point? I plan to serve these at my Mom's birthday party. If YOU naysayers don't try one, that is fine with me. The convenience of cake mixes is wonderful. Thanks very much for sharing the recipe. - 12/30/12

My kids loved this and so did I. I used the lemon supreme cake mix but kept everything else the same. It tasted like a fruity creme cake. I will definitely try different variations. Thanks for the recipe. - 3/14/10

These moist treats taste yummy and we're super easy to make. People that dissed these because they aren't healthy seem to have ignored the fact that they are cupcakes and weren't advertised as being "healthy," but simply as easy to make and lower in calories than some versions. Thank you MommaCakes! - 12/30/12

The point of using box mix is, convenience! Using skim milk and fat free pudding helps keep the 'low fat' balance. Check the nutrition facts!! It's tasty, thank you! - 12/30/12

These are so easy!!! I used 1 c. milk & 6 oz light vanilla yogurt because I didn't have 2 c. of milk. I also added extra blueberries on the top. The calories changed just a little bit with my changes. Great recipe!! Thanks for sharing! - 7/24/10

Came out great, real light and baked up high. I also made a lemon cream cheese frosting from Cooking Light for these and topped each one with a couple of fresh blueberries. - 3/3/10

Four ingredients? Have you read the list on the BOXES of cake and pudding mix? The only whole food here would be the blueberries. This isn't a healthy choice, though I'm sure it will taste good, just like McDonald's french fries. Thanks for nothing SparkPeople. - 12/30/12

This is a freakin AWESOME recipe! I also used a lemon cake mix & vanilla pudding. I also added a serving of GenSoy protein powder. I havn't cooked much with protein powder, but this worked great. Next time I'm going to add 2 servings of powder. Can't wait to try different variations of fruit. - 9/21/09

I am looking at the picture and read the recipe. something doesn't make sense. The recipe tells to mix everything like a cake mix but on the picture it seems like there is a shell and lemon filling inside.like a tart?

What am I doing wrong? These taste good, but they were completely ruined b/c every single one stuck to the paper liner :-( I read that it was due to it being so low fat, but c'mon, give us novices a warning here! I made 2 batches for a party, and not one survived! Really frustrating!! - 1/13/13

Just added this to my recipe collection. I have a group to go to on Friday and when I read this recipe,I'm going to make 2 batches of them to take as my contribution. I am sure the ladies will all love them. The sound remarkable and would be moist with the pudding in them. - 1/29/18

Question for those who've made this... does the recipe as described create the darker crust that appears in the photo, or is that a biscuit shell? thanks,

I agree with the comment that cake mixes and other prepared foods are not healthy. Making from scratch is really not that hard and I dare say it is much cheaper. Convenience only goes so far. - 12/30/12

I find the sodium to be much too high for someone having high blood pressure. Also do not like using (0) calorie anything but water, because the lower the counters the higher the sodium and sugar. I go for things real easy and that I will give it. Healthy (NO) - 12/30/12

Photo shows icing with blueberries on top. Icing not included in recipe, and I feel directions left out a few things. No mention of greasing or oiling or lining pans. These would stick like glue or concrete. They may taste great, but I am not seeing the healthy alternative here. I look for healthy. - 12/30/12

All that sugar & premixed cake mix is just feeding addictions to poor food choices. We need to re-think our habits and learn to love healthy foods, break sugar, processed food & white flour additions if we want to make real changes.
