  You can eliminate additional calories by removing the juice in the recipe. Bring the berries to a slow boil in a saute pan with a little water, and top the cake with it. If you prefer, you can add a pack of Splenda to the berries. When warm, I did not need the cool whip. YUM! - 1/29/09

  I make this often for my family!! We replace the juice with instant fat free chocolate pudding (made with nonfat milk) and use 95% fat free cool whip. Also add blueberries sometimes. This is so delicious and yummy!! - 3/7/09

  I think fat free whipped topping and fresh sliced strawberries are all you need on it... Less calories, all the flavor... Agree with the warm topping comment - can easily do that (saute strawberries), would be great too. - 2/12/09
