I use real eggs and a microwave egg cooker cup (from Wal-Mart) to make these. I lightly beat the egg and then place the turkey sausage (2 links or 1patty) right in with the egg and cook in the microwave for 1 min 30 sec. Sometimes I even add a little sprinkling of shredded Mexican cheese. - 12/3/09

I occasionally sub a thin slice of deli ham for the sausage. It cuts the calories a bit but you have to watch the sodium. - 11/3/09

    THANKS FOR THIS RECIPE.

    I LOVE B'FAST SANDWICHES ALSO.

I FOUND A PLASTIC "EGG MCMUFFIN" COOKER AT WAL MART. IT COOKS ONE EGG/OMLET FOR ONE MINUTE AND 2 EGGS FOR 2 MINUTES. IT IS FANTASTIC. I AM GIVING THEM FOR CHRISTMAS PRESENTS. PRICE ABOUT $4.00

I have one of these at least a couple times a week. I normally use one slice of the Oscar Meyer Canadian Bacon, but have also tried the turkey sausage and turkey bacon. I toast my english muffin, but I cook the rest in the microwave and I have the perfect shaped cup that fits perfect on my muffin - 10/23/09

This is a fantastic way to skip the drive through. I told my Sis about it. Most times I don't put the sausage on and use regular shredded cheese (just not a lot of it) - 11/11/15

Lots of options w/ meat or no meat. You can use turkey sausage crumbles and add to egg, or deli ham, or canadian bacon slices, turkey bacon, lean bacon (which is better tasting and lower cals), or add chopped veggies to egg beater. I make this everyday, and change it up to add variety.

I use a ramekin to cook the egg in the microwave, skip the meat entirely, and use real cheese (I prefer gouda but mozzarella will do in a pinch.) SO YUMMY. - 7/14/10

Sounds like a good substitute if you are addicted to Mcbreakfasts, but I probably won't be trying this one. Too much sodium for me. - 11/4/09

    Reply from 2BFREE2LIVE (11/4/09)
The sodium comes from the fat free cheese and the turdey sausage which you could sustitute with low fat cheese and a low sodium sausage or candian bacon. I hope you will find the products that will make this a low sodium breakfast for you.
