Introduction

For when you're REALLY craving something fresh-baked and sweet, but know you don't have the will power to leave the rest of the batch alone. Makes one decent-sized cookie. For when you're REALLY craving something fresh-baked and sweet, but know you don't have the will power to leave the rest of the batch alone. Makes one decent-sized cookie.
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    2 tbsp flour
    1 tbsp brown sugar
    1/4 tsp baking powder
    2 tsp butter
    1/2 tbsp 1% milk

Directions

Mix flour, sugar, and baking powder. (White sugar will work just fine if you prefer it.) Cream in the butter. Cold butter works best, but if you're in a hurry melting it is ok. Mix in the milk. Place the cookie on a baking sheet that has been sprayed with pam. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 10 minutes or until golden on top.

I've left out the toppings so it's easy to edit based on your preferences. Add about 1 tsp of whatever you'd like to the cookie dough - chocolate chips, nuts, etc - and then add those calories separately. I top mine with cinnamon sugar... Snickerdoodles! :D

I got so hungry for a treat after I commented on your recipe that I made it right away only instsed of milk I had eggnog flavored creamer left from the holidays so I used that and mixed it in a coffee cup. I used a toaster oven and thank God only baked 1 because it was delicious. - 1/17/10

Quick and easy to make and very delicious. Only had wholewheat flour and some walnuts and made a wholewheat walnut cookie and it tasted so delicious. Using wholewheat flour, 2% milk, 2g of walnuts and 2tsp Splenda (instead of brown sugar) the total calories were 107 Cal per cookie. - 2/9/13

mmmmmm this was delicious! I made the snickerdoodle version. I ate the whole batch of cookie! :o) At 185 calories per cookie, that's a little steep... but compared that to downing a dozen cookies at one sitting. this is SAFE as well as satisfying... my sweet tooth is happy. Thank you!! - 2/17/13

Taste was just ok, I doubled the recipe to make 2 cookies. I added chocolate chips to make chocolate chip cookies. These cookies weren't soft and chewy, they were more like a scone/biscuit (but soft at the same time). Next time I will try baking soda instead of baking powder. - 8/25/13

Oh my goodness. A recipe for one cookie at a time!? Cookies are my downfall. This may help to satisfy my cookie monster, without me overeating a whole batch!

I haven't tried it yet. A one serving cookie recipe is a good idea. Maybe if at the end of the day (when I get the nibblies) and I have leftover calories, I could go for this. It's quick and easy and I'd bake it in the toaster oven so I don't have to turn on the stove's oven for just one cookie. - 12/6/12

185 seems steep for one cookie... could you use splenda brown sugar or skim milk to cut the calories or unsweetened applesauce instead of butter? - 6/20/20
