I thought this was a Whitefish recipe!! Tilapia is a fish raised to eat sewage in Asia! Can we sub whitefish? - 7/29/10

This was delicious and easy! I used a pastry brush to put the butter/olive oil mixture on, which worked really well. - 1/19/10

I made this substituting Almond Flour for the bread crumbs, and added grated Parmesan cheese. It was great! I am counting fats and calories, my hubby is doing low carb, this worked for us both. - 6/8/09

Very quick and easy to make. I'm a garlic lover so I think next time I will add a couple more cloves to give it a little more kick. - 11/7/07

I substituted salmon filets instead of tilapia filets. It was delicious!! And instead of butter we used spray olive oil. Very good! - 2/14/13

DO NOT use basa for this recipe... My fish fell apart and all the tasty crumbs fell off! It also needed 40 mins in the oven, as 325 was not hot enough. It was still quite tasty in the end. We ate it with cauliflower puree and a garden salad. I'll try again with different fish. Thanks for the recipe! - 1/9/13

Really delicious & looks good too! The comment about it being a sewage fish is INCORRECT...google it and you will see it eats plants, found in fresh waters esp. Africa and Sea of Galilee, also called "St. Peter's Fish"; very healthy compared to other fish AND really Delicious! =0]

Made it with tilapia, and also with grouper. The grouper took longer to bake, but both were very good. I omitted the butter, and also I ended up tossing most of the bread crumb mixture. because it was more than needed, so I'm guessing the calorie count is actually lower. - 2/18/08

I used crappie instead of tilapia. It was great! My only complaint is that the breading was a little dry. Next time, I might drizzle the butter/oil OVER the breaded fish before baking, rather than putting it under the breading. Otherwise, delicious! - 2/17/08

This is my favorite recipe so far on this site! It was light, flaky and delicious. I used garlic powder instead of fresh garlic and olive oil for the oil. Difinitely will do this one again. - 1/31/08
