Instead of chocolate chips (high fat, high sugar), use Hershey's chocolate syrup instead. The amount would need to be adjusted to personal taste, but it saves a LOT of calories!! - 8/12/09

Unbelievably good! My husband LOVES chocolate chip cookies but it's hard to find a recipe that's not loaded with fat and calories. The cookies were a pretty decent size too. Thanks for posting...we will definitely be making them again! - 5/6/08

I made these this afternoon, and I think they are delicious! My picky kids even enjoyed them! I used more whole wheat flour and less all-purpose flour and only cooked them for 8 minutes. I flattened them with a spoon while they were still warm too. - 2/3/08

I was hoping this was a modified recipe for weight loss, I need fat free, sugar free, low sodium and low cholesterol.. I could sub egg beaters, skip the salt, no chocolate chips and splenda.. then it would be a sugar free sugar cookie! - 8/12/09

This was good and based on the nutrition there is little difference between this and the reg tollhouse cookies. Actually, this has more carbs but does have less fat and only a bit less sodium. Calories are the same. Overall a good recipe but not sure Iwould label it "healthy" - 8/12/09

I wouldn't consider this "healthy." I don't mean to be negative, but people have a tendency to consider "healthy" things something you can overdo to a great extent. Just be careful when eating these!!! A good calorie count for a "healthy" cookie (IMO) would be 50, so you can at least have 3! - 8/12/09

I have made a chocolate chip cookie similar to this. I always use oatmeal in my chocolate chip cookies, and I know from making a red velvet cake with using half whole wheat flower that you get a nutty taste without adding nuts. - 8/12/09

I'm just curious, do you make the cookies teaspoon size or tablespoon size? How big are the cookies? I want to make but don't want to have to figure it out with trial and error what size makes 3 dozen cookies. - 7/19/08

Well these really aren't healthy. I don't mean to be mean, but these are still loaded with sugar, fat and even some white flour. Brown sugar and butter type spread aren't really any healthier than their original counterparts. - 9/3/13

With all due respect to whom ever wrote this recipe, I don't believe they understand how decimals work very well. I did a makeover on this recipe and noticed the ingredient list was not corrosponded over to decimals accurately in the recipe calculator. Therefore, the calorie calculations are wrong. - 3/31/12

This recipe doesn't make sense... You are loading them up with sugar, egg, and chocolate chips, How about splenda, all 100% whole wheat flour and instead of chocolate chips use shaved semi sweet chocolate bar? I cookie = 110 calories and 4 gm fat? Who only eats one? Not healthy - 11/13/10

My first thought was "that's an awful lot of sugar", but I guess most cookies are that way. Does anyone have any "low sugar" cookie recipes? Would really appreciate. The rest of the ingredients sound great. Thanks all. - 11/5/10
