Ingredients

    1/2 oz. Shiitake Mushrooms Dried
    1 lb Lean Roun Steak Trimmed of fat cut into 4 equal pieces
    Sea Salt
    Ground Pepper
    3 tbsp Whole Wheat Flour
    2 large egg white
    4 slices whole-wheat toast, crust removed nd toast cut into 2 inch pieces
    1 tbsp dried minced onion
    1 tsp dried orgeano
    1 tsp dried thyme
    1/2 tsp garlic power
    3 tsp extra virgin olive oil
    6 oz cremini mushrooms thinly sliced
    1 cup ow sodium beef broth
    1/2 cup 1% milk

Directions

1. Place ried mushroom in to a bowl and add 1/2 cup boiling water, let stand for 10 to 15 miniutes.
2. Using a meat mallet pound steaks to a 1/4 inch thinkness season both sides with salt and pepper, set aside.
3. place 2 tbsp flour in a shalow dish, place egg white in a seperate dish, and in a food processor add toast, onion, garlic, thyme, and oregano. blend untilit looks like bread crumbs, then place in a third shallow dish.
4. add steaks to flour dust each side, then coat each side with egg, then each side with bread crumb mixture.
5. heat 2 tsp oil in skillet and cook the steak for 2 to 3 minutes per side.
6 Prepare gravy, in the skillet that you cooked the steaks, add 1 tsp oil and heat, drain the dried mushrooms and add to the oil, saving the liquid, add sliced mushrooms and saute for 3 to 5 miniutes. add the mushroom soaking liquid and beef broth and bring to a simmer. in a medium bowl whisk 1tbsp flour and milk. add to mushroom mixturesimmer for 3 to 5 miniute.

    I got this recipe out of this months Clean Eating. I must say it took me a while to get it prepared (next time it wont take so long since i got it down to a science NOW!) Let me say, it was well worth the prep time! It was delish....very worth every min. of prep time. A def. make again recipe.
