Ingredients

Oats, 4.5 cup (could be split between whole & steel-cut oats)
Almonds, 2 cup, whole (suggest slight chopping)
    Flax Seed, 4 tbsp
Sunflower Seeds, without salt, .50 cup, hulled
Brown Sugar Blend, Splenda, .75 cup
    Cinnamon, ground, 2 tsp
    Ginger, ground, .5 tsp
    Kosher Salt, 1 tsp
Brown Rice Syrup or Agave Nectar, .5 cup
Grade B Maple Syrup or Honey, 3 tbsp
    Unsweetened Apple Sauce, 0.75 cup
Brown Sugar Blend, Splenda, .25 cup
    Canola Oil, 2 tbsp
    Raisins, .5 cup, packed
Cranberries, dried, sweetened (craisins), 0.5 cup
    Blueberries, dried, .25 cup
    Apricots, dried, .5 cup, halves
    Dates, .5 cup, pitted, chopped

Directions

Preheat oven to 310° F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

Combine the dry ingredients in a large bowl. Combine the wet ingredients (and add'l Splenda) in a small bowl then add to the dry ingredients and mix well.

Spread granola evenly on both baking sheets and bake for 40 minutes to 1 hour, turning over half-way through baking. Be careful not to let it burn, but some like theirs a little darker, some a little lighter.

If you like your granola with clusters, once your remove from the oven, use a spatula to press down the granola while still warm. Once it cools, simply break it up into the cluster size you prefer. Also works well to dump into a large bowl and allow to cool, tossing every 15 minutes or so.

Leave on tray to cool completely. Store in an airtight container. Can be refrigerated until needed, won't affect the crunchiness.

Makes approximately 24 1/2 cup servings
