Ingredients

    2 sticks unsalted butter (1 cup)
    1/2 cup sugar
    2 cups flour
    1/2 tbsp vanilla

Directions

Soften butter; cream butter and sugar together. Add flour gradually. Add vanilla. Mix until smooth. Scoop mounded spoonfuls of dough into palm; roll into ball and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Press firmly with extended, closed fingers to make impression on cookies. Bake in 375 degree oven for about 10 minutes. Makes about 30 cookies (1.5-2 inch).
