Ingredients

    4 oz each of kidney, lima, great northern, pinto and green split peas
    4 stalks celery
    4 carrots
    1 medium onion
    1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
    2 bay leaves
    8 springs fresh thyme
    1/2 T salt
    water to cover

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a crockpot. Cook on high for one hour, then reduce to low and cook 8-12 hours. Makes 8 servings.
