Introduction

Ingredients

    2 cups cabbage, shredded
    2 lb lean ground chicken (or turkey)
    1 cup onion, chopped
    1/2 cup uncooked rice
    4 cups canned no-salt-added tomato sauce
    1 teaspoon garlic powder
    1 teaspoon dried oregano

Directions

1. Place shredded cabbage in a lightly greased 4 quart casserole dish.
2. In skillet, cook chicken until browned and no longer pink in color. Add chopped onions; stir occasionally and cook 5 minutes. Add uncooked rice to cooked chicken.
3. Place chicken rice mixture over cabbage in casserole dish.
4. Combine tomato sauce, garlic, and oregano. Pour over cooked chicken.
5. Cover and bake 350 about 1 hour.
