Introduction

My family's favorite rice.
Use basmati for best results.
My family's favorite rice.

Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    3 cups uncooked long grain rice,basmati is best
    1 3/4 cups cocunut milk
    3 1/4 cups water
    1 tsp canola oil
    2 tbsp honey
    1 tsp salt

Directions

Rinse rice well, till water runs clear.
Heat oil in sauce pan with tight fitting lid.

Add rice and stir to coat.

Add remaining ingredients.
Bring to a boil.

Stir, reduce heat to low, and cover for 15 mins.
Do not uncover from this point on.

Remove from heat and let stand 10 mins.

Uncover, mix/fluff gently.

Makes 8 1 cup servings

    So I tried this recipe today but added clams and shrimp.....OMG!!!! My family loved it!! They can't wait for me to make it again. Next time I plan to add so nice crisp asparagus =) - 12/2/10
