Ingredients

    * *Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched, 1 cup (remove)
    * Granulated Sugar, .75 cup (remove)
    * Cocoa, dry powder, unsweetened, 2 tbsp (remove)
    * Baking Powder, 2 tsp (remove)
    * Salt, .25 tsp (remove)
    * Milk, nonfat, .5 cup (remove)
    * *Canola Oil, .5 cup (remove)
    * Vanilla Extract, 1 tsp (remove)
    * Cocoa, dry powder, unsweetened, .25 cup (remove)
    * Brown Sugar, 1 cup, packed (remove)
    * Water, tap, 1.75 cup (8 fl oz) (remove)

Directions

350 degree oven. In ungreased 9 x 9 x 2 pan, stir together flour, sugar, 2 T. cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Mix in oil, milk, and vanilla with a fork. (Stir in optional 1 c. chopped nuts, not included in nutrition facts). Spread in pan and sprinkle with brown sugar and 1/4 c. cocoa (previously mixed together). Pour hot water over batter. Bake 40 min., let stand 15 min. Cut into squares, and invert on dish. Top with ice cream (also not included in nutrition facts) & spoon on the sauce. Makes 12 servings.
