Introduction

These are fish cakes using Ontario Bass and brown rice. These are fish cakes using Ontario Bass and brown rice.
Number of Servings: 5

Ingredients

    -5 fillets of bass
    -2 cups of brown rice
    -1/2 cup of seasoned bread crumbs
    -4 tbsp of relish
    -.5 tsp of black pepper
    -.5 tsp of garlic powder
    -.5 tsp of dill
    -3 large eggs
    -1/4 cup olive oil

Directions

-Place Bass fillets into food processor with garlic, black pepper, dill, relish, eggs, and 2 cups of cooked brown rice.
-Mix until fish and rice and nicely mixed.
-Form fish mixture into golf ball sized balls.
-Coat fish cakes with bread crumbs
-Heat olive oil in fry pan on medium high
-Cook in fry pan for around five minutes per side, or until nicely brown on the outside.
This could be lower fat if you baked these in the oven or used a lighter spray, however olive oil is tasty, healthy and it makes it taste better in a pan.
Makes about 10 or so fish cakes. Serving size is 2 per person.
