Number of Servings: 3

Ingredients

    chicken drumsticks, 5-6
    diced tomatoes, 14.6 oz
    chicken broth, 2 cups
    ground ginger, 2 tsp
    garlic, 2 cloves diced
    dried marjoram, 1 tsp

Directions

In the bottom of the crockpot on high, pour a small amount of olive oil and brown the chicken. Remove, wipe the bottom of the pan lightly with a paper towel (don't get the drippings, just the excess oil). In the remaining drippings and oil, throw in the garlic, can of tomatoes, chicken broth, soy sauce, and spices. Place chicken back in mixture and leave on high for 2 hours, then turn down to low for another 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

Take out the drumsticks. Throw out the liquid or add cornstarch to make a sauce for over brown rice or whole wheat couscous.

    Incredible!
This was awesome! I did change it up a bit for what I had in the kitchen. I didn't have chicken broth so I just used water. I added the zest of 4 tiny limes and the juice. Instead of Marjoram I used thyme. No soy, I used kosher salt. It was fantastic. I live alone so of course I had leftovers, using! - 1/10/15

Was very good and the drumsticks are so tender. I made them tonight and I will let them marinade in the sauce then heat them tomorrow hopefully on the grill. - 4/4/08

    Incredible!
Great! I wish I made more. I had to use a frying pan to brown the chicken. They would not brown in my crockpot. - 3/19/08
