Introduction

Ingredients

    2 cups black, pinto and kidney beans, drained and rinsed
    12 oz tomato paste
    28 oz peeled tomatoes in tomato juice (diced)
    3 cups of ground beef (approx 24 oz)
    1.5 c green bell pepper (abt .75 of a large one)
    1 c red bell pepper (abt .5 a large one)
    .5 cup broth
    1 c yellow hot peppers (abt 1.75 large peppers)
    3 tsp ea of garlic and chili powder
    1 tsp each of onion salt and cumin
    1.75 serrano peppers (abt .25 to .33 cups)

Directions

Precook the beef. Combine all other ingredients in a Dutch oven or other large pot. cook 15 minutes to soften the peppers, and simmer for as long as desired to blend flavors. Makes 14 to 15 1-cup servings.
