Introduction

A slight twist on a bolognese recipe I found in cooking light magazine. Add whatever pasta you would like to complement this sauce, however I suggest something like elbows to make it easier to eat with a spoon. Ingredients

    Hot Italian Turkey Sausage, Lean Ground Beef, Green Pepper, Zucchini, Onion, Carrot, Mushrooms, Fresh Rosemary, Canned Diced Tomatoes

Directions

Cut mushrooms and zucchini into bite size pieces, shred carrot, and chop onion, green pepper, and fresh rosemary.
Add beef and turkey ialian sauage first, in medium saucepan. Fry until cooked, or slightly browned (whatever your preference is). Then add onion and green pepper to the pan; allow them to slightly wilt. Add zucchini, mushrooms, carrots, and rosemary; allow all ingredients to saute and mix together.
After about five minutes of letting all the ingredients saute, turn heat down to a little above low, and add your tomatoes. Allow to simmer for about 45 minutes to thicken a little. Add salt, pepper, or any seasoning you would like, to your taste preference.
Serve over pasta or rice.
Makes about 8-1 cup servings of sauce.
